hats and cocktails at the Moonlyte Museum

Hats and Cocktails was the weekly show planned for the summer of 2008. Supposed to run for 6 weeks, the show never saw the light of day. The first weekend's filming proved that the idea of filming a show whilst pished on cocktails wasn't the best idea we'd ever had.

It wasn't all bad news, as the Hats and Cocktails experience genenerated lots of ideas for Series 4. The idea of the Moonlyte Museum as an expanded archive on the consolevania website surfaced shortly after the summer show was shelved and is an ongoing project.

One planned segment for the show was a short spot showing Joanne making a games or consolevania related cocktail. Only the Solid Snake cocktail recipe was finalised and made for the show. There was a Barry Burton cocktail planned, to include Ginger Beer (for his ginger beard), watermelon (zombie flesh) and Mint leaves (green herb), but the recipe was never perfected.

The Solid Snake recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 shot of Midori (for snake)
1/2 shot of Baileys (for solid)
1/4 shot of Bols Blue (for snake's bandanna)
1 small cardboard box and 1 beer mat

Layer the shots in a shot glass. Place box over shot glass standing on beer mat. Sneak cocktail to drinker.

Rab started a thread on the forum asking if anyone fancied making a lovely website for the show here. Countv then produced this very nice site for the show.
